Hi, I am attempting to make a copy of a DVD using Roxio Easy Media Creator 8. When I place the DVD to be copied in Drive E (DVD Read only) and a blank in Drive D, I get the message "Drive not found. The drives are present in "My Computer" and I can play DVDs in both drives. I can also burn ordinary Movie DVDs. Any help would be appreciated. Regards Carper

Are you trying to copy a movie dvd you bought or rented? If so you can't just copy a movie dvd with roxio. Most dvd's out there have some form of copy guard encryption. You'll need to use a decrypter program. try dvd fab decrypter a free download. Check out some of the how to guides to the left. They will tell you everything you need to copy dvd's.

Thanks for your reply. It is not so much the fact that the DVD will not read the disc but that the destination drive is not recognised, either with a blank disc in or without. Carper

No matter, doing a disk-to-disk copy is never a good idea, even if it's possible in theory, and all disk copy utilities advertise it's also practical.
The best way to do a disk copy is to use DVDDecrypter, ISO read, ISO write. So much best, there's no reason to try any other way.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have downloaded it and will try it out in the next day or two
