    Hello...

Hope this is in the right section.

I'm currently putting together a video from my deployment in Iraq. I have a bit of video that, if I edit out certain things, it will be considered declassified and I can use it.

What I'm looking to do is "block" out our blur some things in the video. Similar to blurring out faces as in shows like "Cops", or brand name items in music videos, or like watching camera footage from a Predator Drone firing a hellfire missile and the altitude, GPS coordinates, and various other things are edited over so you can't read them.

I hope I'm making sense with the explaination. Anyway, from what I can gather this process can be achieved through "keyframing". I'm using Sony Vegas Movie 7.0. I'm been through some tutorials but can't seem to get the effects situated on the 3-4 different areas I need blocked out on the video.

Can someone help me? Can what I want to do be done in Vegas 7.0? Is it relatively easy to do? I'm about to give up and edit the video I have frame by frame in photoshop and then place them together again to make an video file....but that'd take me days to do.

Any help/tutorials would be appreciated, or if this question has been asked before and I didn't search hard enough...point me in the right direction.
