I used smartripper to copy a DVD to my HD, and when i edited it in dvd2avi/tmpg I found along the right side of the screen, all the way down, discolored boxes. Is this some sort of heat damage to the DVD? An error ripping? The dvd itself was made wrong?
Any Help is appreciated
Thanks!

Sounds like a ripping error...
My suggestion: try smartripper again, but clean the DVD first (it could be just that). If that doesn't work, make sure you've downloaded the latest version of SmartRipper and try again. If that doesn't work, or you already have the latest version of SmartRipper, or try DVD Decrypter.
Regards.

I tried it again, it didn't work. So i decided to check if it was the DVD, I played it in my laptop DVD player, and it had the boxes. Doesn't have them on my PS2 DVD player, or my standalone. Any ideas?
