This is WEIRD: have an 80GB video ipod which contains 18 full-length movies, 50-60 TV shows, a couple dozen music videos and about 30 "funny" videos I've collected (in addition to about 400 songs). All play just fine, UNLESS....
I downloaded a 3-minute music video from uTube recently using a Firefox extension called "VideoDownloader," which saves the uTube video in FLV format. Then I used SUPER to convert that to MP4, added it to iTunes, and sync'd the iPod. I ejected the iPod, and the video played just fine.
BUT: Once I played THAT video, NO TV SHOWS and only some music videos will play properly. The ones that don't play right give a black screen and no sound, but when I click the center button to get the video time reference tool, it's marching along just like it's playing something!!
If I remove the "poison" video all the seemingly-broken videos will play properly again. I've also learned that if I place the "poison" video on the iPod but DON'T PLAY IT, all the TV shows & others play fine - but as soon as I DO play it, all the others are renedered unplayable.
I am clueless. Any ideas?
