Software used? Media used?

Have you ever burned a DVD before and had it work in your player?
Can you play the DVD on your PC?
Could be you have an older Japanese player which does not like burned DVDs.
Could be you have bad media.
Could be you have a bad burner.
Could be software.
You need to provide detail before anyone can help you.
Media, burner, software, player. -
Chana1 - You picked the right place to post. Your first post said that you burned "a dvd on 2 cd". Then you said "Nope dvd to dvd". Not much we can do when you deliberately give false information and expect us to just magically know what's correct and what isn't. If you REALLY want help, post in detail what you did as oldandintheway suggested and we might then have enough information to help you.

I burn the .iso files i make out of the dvd (4.8gb) files using Nero Burning ROM, the cd's i burn them onto are:
Datawrite Red 8x 4.7gb DVD-R (they have no scratchs obv)
I dvd player i have is a sony 1 it says cd/dvd player dvp ns300 but when i typed it in google it comes up with a slightly different player mines in slimer and his a lil round knob on it (forward/rewind).
Hope this helps, dont really know what the problem could begot a little feeling its the dvd disc but iv used these before and never had any problem and they have no mark or anything on them.

Datawrite get their discs from a wide range of manufacturers, mostof whom fall into the bottom tiers when it comes to quality. A quick scan of the media database (menu to your left) would indicate that Datawrite Red are at best a mixed bag. Use DVD Info Pro or similar to get the media ID for the discs, then look those up in the database and see what the feedback is. I suspect that crap discs is the root of your problem though. Add to this the fact that Sony players can be very touchy about the media they will use, and you have a good combination for problems.

The freezing can be caused by to fast burn speeds. try lowering them down a bit. I prefer 4 to 6X on dvd's and 16X on cd's and have very little freezing and breaking up problems. Use good media too. Sony verbatim taiyo yuden. Avoid cheap store brands like staples and dynex and others cheap media like memorex tdk .

Older Sony players are notoriously picky about burned DVDs. They either won't recognize the disks or will freeze and pixilate during the movie.
They often do not accept many of the "second" and "third" tier media makers. They prefer DVD-R when they are willing to read burned media. But some might also accept book-typed DVD+R.
Higher priced media like TY or MCC (Verbatim) may work but also may not. SONY media are no longer first tier.
You may get worse results with quality media if you burn too slowly.
It may not be at all possible to read burned DVDs on your player.
Not a very attractive situation. -
Ummm well im gessing the 100 dvd datawrite disc are waste then eyy waste of £12!! lolll which dvd discs would you recomend which play perfect and hopefully the film wont freeze on it, and cheap not looking for expensive 1's like 10 for £8 or something like that...
Thanks

you keep mixing words, one time you say DVD iso 4.7 gig
in the next line you say you burned CD's
you can't but 4 gigs on a CD
also if the files are 4.7 you are going to have problems, you are burning to to the very edge of the disc and you are burning too fast
I burn at 1/2 whatever the marked speed is, and for me anyway it works a lot better,
also nero is a lousy encoder, and only a so-so burner compared to software like imgburn, nero's days as a tech leader are gone.
I limit all my encodes to 4.2 MAX, for me anyway , it works out a lot better, for a variety of reasons
if you use verbatim disc and have pro-sumer grade burners maybe you can burn to the edge and maybe you can burn at max marked speed
for my equipment, taking the time burn it a slower means I don't make a coaster and have to do it all over again -
I think the OP is in the fairly early stages of dvd creation and propably doesn't have English as his first language.
I fairly certain he's refereing to CDs as anything that round, fits in a tray on his computer and you can put it in another player when you're done burning things on it. Besides, they're using Nero...gotta feel for 'em.
We have the same issue with people in the southren part of the US calling everything a 'coke'. Doesn't matter if you want a Pepsi, Mountain Dew or Dr. Pepper. Its all 'coke' to them.... Kinda like 'Band-Aid' being used for bandage all the time.Have a good one,
