    I'm a mac user, and I need some help how to make rmvb files to mp4?

    If anyone knows, please let me know!!!

    Have you tried ffmpegx? it should support rm/rmvb.

    I tried it before, but doesn't work. Actually, it suppose working. However, I don't know how to make it. If you know, please tell me! Also, if you can, please provide a specific process for me!

    Reading rmvb files in ffmpegX requires the mencoder engine; the iPod profile requires the ffmpeg engine. Unfortunately, for the moment, that means encoding twice: first encode from rmvb to anything ffmpeg can decode (e.g. XviD), then encode that to an iPod format.

    If you use the XviD mencoder preset for the first run, with a high bitrate/low Qmax, then the quality could be well preserved.

    wouldn't simply hijacking the file as it plays in
    Real Player with iShowU to mp4 be much simpler?
