    Hi Guys!

    New guy here and with lots of doubts. (v_v)

    I just got my Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-112D (Beige) and MacTheRipper and Toast Titanium 8.

    I'm willing to Burn DVD movies from it's original DVDs (including the extras, if possible), Anime episodes and PS2 game which, both, I download from internet.

    I want to burn DVDs but I don't have a clue how and where to start.

    I want to start with my Animes...

    Just to clear things out:

    I download the AVI file;

    But is don't open on Apple apps;

    I'm willing to burn my Anime's episodes on DVD with iDVD, cause it makes a well finish and organized job;

    I need to convert the AVI file to a format that Apple apps can read;

    Is there any freeware that do the convertion?

    And when doing the convertion it will make my Anime AVI file size larger?

    And I want to compress the file the possible but without harming the video quality, so I can fit as much Anime episodes as possible.

    iDVD can set the DVD to play all region?

    What should I do? Please help. (^_^)\/

    This is the way I would do it.

    1. rip your DVD
    2. Open up toast and create a dvd by going to other and selecting DVD
    3. at the bottom of the window select new DVD
    4. Name the untitiled DVD to what you want
    5. Take the audio TS file and Video TS file that yopu just riped and drag them to the window
    6. put a DVD in drive and wait for toast to regonize it.
    7. burn.

    For your AVI files I would use a free program called MPEG STREAMCLIP at www.squared5.com.
    You can convert this file into the proper file for DVD.

  3. ffmpegX solve most problems... that being said expect the mpeg files to be ALOT bigger than the avi's you downloaded.

    If you want you could get a dixv dvd player and just burn the avi's to dvd and watch them that way.

    (edit)
    Oh and on a side note don't admit to downloading stuff from torrents that kind of talk is banned

  4. if you can't play the avi's in quicktime you won't be able convert them, find out what codec the avi's use and start from there...
