    Run movie on ps3, rip to ps3 HD which is hooked up to a pc's hd, copy from ps3 hd-pc hd, then burn on a bd-r
    Such a thing possible or have I made this harder than it already it?

    No point, really since BD-R is no cheaper than if you bought the original disk again.
