Ok I got a weird one (to me at least).
I have some videos (with audio) in MPEG2 format. I used DVDStyler to create the ISO and then used ImgBurn to burn the ISO to DVD. If I play the newely created DVD on my computer everything is fine. If I insert that same DVD into a DVD player and try to view it on my TV then the audio is off by about a second or so. I have seen this happen when editing video before and having it not lineup before producing a DVD and needing to change the audio offset with a software application, but I have never seen where the standaline MPEGS are fine, the produced DVD is fine when played on a computer, but that same DVD when played in a DVD player is off. Anyone seen this before and what is the problem?

I have seen it in only a couple of instances. One was in very older amplifiers which had problems keeping sync when using digital connections - this also affected commercial discs.
The only other time I have seen this happen with crappy authoring and/or bad media. I understand DVD Styler is based on DVD Author, which generally seems to be pretty good, however you have not mentioned the media you are using.
So what do you burn to . . . . .Read my blog here.

I am burning to Memorex DVD-R. Some of my DVD players in the house will read DVD+R/DVD-R but I have one that will only read the -R which is the reason for using that media. Memorex brand has always produced good results and though some people claim there is no difference I have had turned out too many coasters with some of the other brands to agree with that. My understanding is that the brand of DVDs that produces in the least amount of coasters generally depends on the burner and what it "likes" found through trial and error.
I had taken avi files and burned to this same media without problem before (using Nero). However, the source files in this particular case were mpeg2 and I really didnt want to convert to avi format just to burn with Nero. -
And neither should you have to. Theoretically, you can set Nero to not re-encode compliant files, although it seems to be hit and miss when it works.
If you don't need menus then you can also author with muxman, and if you do, you could try GUIForDVDAuthor.
You don't need an ISO to burn with Imgburn. It will quite happily recognise and burn from the Video_TS folder as well.Read my blog here.

I do need the menus which is the reason I decided to use DVDStyler in this case. I needed more flexability then other apps including Nero would allow for some of the custom menus and text. Since I have MPEG source files I thought the easiest way was to use DVDStyler since thats the format it accepts and the great menu functionality as well. Then from DVDStyler I needed to create some type of output file for burning (I do my authoring on one computer and burn on another) which is why I created the ISO from DVDStyler. If you have any other suggestions as what I could do differently or how I could possibly get the audio to match up with the video I would be very interested.

I'm having the exact same issue. Do you have Vista? No matter what software I use (Nero, ConvertXtoDVD, DVD Shrink, DVD Fab) I still have the video being faster than the audio. But its doesnt do it for the enterie movie. The movies starts out ok, then either at the middle or closer to the end, the audio starts to get slower. I'm using AVI files wehn I'm burning and Video TS files witht eh same result. I've also been using Memeorex disc and Velocity disc. I notice it happens more with the Velocity disc though.

I'm still having the same problem using WinXP on my machine that I do my AV editing on and 2k Pro on my machine I do the burning on. I have tried a few different things including converting the audio to ac3 format and creating just the DVD files and burning and still the same results. I recently coppied a couple of my profesionally created DVDs and they coppied without issue so I dont believe it is the media. I am at a loss on what to try next.
I also failed to mention that I used DVD Shrink also with the same results. My version of Nero wont give me the flexability I want with the menu options which is one of the reasons I havent even tried that burning application for this specific purpose. I did however use DVD Shrink though to copy the professional grade DVDs previously mentioned.
