I’m evaluating this software and I am in my 30-day trial. I picked up the GUI OK and within an hour or so I compiled a DVD.

    The Menu’s are text menus.

Root menu has Play All and 4 separate titles to branch to. Each title has it’s own text menu. When I say text menu, I mean I used the Add Text to create a title and then linked it to a chapter. I did not use any of the templates.

No compile errors and the DVD plays fine in software players as well as set top players except for one thing:

Using either the remote or the software players keypad, I notice that when scrolling thru the menus with the arrow keys, a menu title is skipped. For example, when I branch to an episode menu the first title is highlighted. I can press enter to begin playing (no problem here). But it I press the down arrow, I noticed that the next menu item (which is really the next chapter) is skipped. The highlighted text will be the 3rd item in the menu. Scrolling to the end of the list and scrolling back up and a different title is skipped, but I can access the one that was skipped initially.

In other words, scrolling down always skips the 2nd title while scrolling back up allows this title to be selected (but a different title is skipped).

Using the Simulate option produces the same results.

If I use the software player and the mouse pointer, when I hover over each title, it is correctly highlighted and can be properly selected.

The chapters work fine, except for being skipped while scrolling.

Also, these episodes were previously DVD’s themselves. I was simply making an episode disk with a Play All option, recreating the original chapters. I initially imported the VOB’s directly and then tried importing and having the software demultiplex into separate streams. Same issues both ways.

I know that the original VOB’s had chapter points and that is why I tried the demultiplex option. Perhaps the chapters are being imported and messing this up?

I’m leaning toward user error here but honestly can’t figure out where I went wrong.

Has anyone run into this before?

You can manually set the button routing -- look up in the help files for "Auto Route"

    Regards,
    George
