    anyone knows what keys will pause VirtualDubMod or VirtualDub when encoding please

    None. Turn the priority down to Idle if you want to use the computer for something else.

    so will this cut down the cpu usage then as I find I cannot do much else when they are encoding I know i need more ram but just thought maybe I could pause it
