  1. Hey, I have a NVIDIA GeForce FX5200 video out card, and I usually use Media Player Classic for watching videos on my TV. A lot of the videos I have are in Widescreen format, as if they were meant for a Widescreen television, but I have a normal TV. How can I get rid of the widescreen and make it fullscreen, WITHOUT messing up the aspect ratio. Perhaps, a zoom feature like the zoom you'd use on a DVD player (yes, I know that you lose some of the sides).

I was told a program called TV Tool would help me with this, or that if I used VLC.

    Any suggestions?

Zoom with Media Player Classic, View->Zoom.

  3. That doesn't affect the image on my TV Screen. I have it so that video plays full screen on the TV, even if its not full screen on the computer.

  4. ZoomPlayer is designed for this. If memory serves, you use the mouse scroll wheel to zoom as much or as little as you like. Dumb idea though, if you ask me.

They were meant for movie theaters, but will play correctly on any TV set if you just leave them alone.
