I am making a menu, I need a still picture that has dimensions of the same size as the aspect ratio of the project (16:9 or 4:3)
I have looked in the glossary, but am still lost, normally I use a picture that has the same dimensions as the resolution
How do I figure this out
Cheers

4:3 = Use a picture with width/height = 1.3333 like 1024x768
16:9 = Use a picture with width/height = 1.7777 like 1280x720
The dvd authoring tool should then resize it to dvd resolution and keep the aspect ratio. If not you can resize it to 720x480/576 from the 4:3 - 1024x768 or 16:9 - 1280x720 before, it will look stretched but when you play it it will look okey. -
Create your still in 16:9 or 4:3 AR (any resolution, like 1024x576 for 16:9)
When done, resize still to 720x480/576 (NTSC/PAL) to use as menu bg.
