I need some advice on getting a chroma background.
I've splashed out and have bought a background and lighting.
What I'm missing is a chroma background.
I want to know: should I invest in buying from a 'dedicated' seller?
(I'm buying through eBay: I didn't know where else to buy from! Any suggestions would be welcome - that's for both lighting and stands.)
The material will cost me about £50.
Now... as far as I'm concerned: that's too much.
*Just* buying material (for any other purpose) is very cheap - even for thick material.
I wanted to know: will I be OK if I just went out and bought material that looked greenish or light bluish from a garment shop?
Or should I just buy from the 'pros'?
Thanks.

Why don't you just try it with the colored (or coloured, for you!) material? It might work to your requirements.
The "pro" material will give you more uniform background luminance across the field, but you might be able to compensate.ICBM target coordinates:

hmmm... i'm just thinking... for the sake of a few pounds... i might as well buy from the pros?
something else i just thought of: material normall isn't more than 2m in widths in the fabric shops.
i might have to shop around.
