  1. I have a image of the problem I am getting below (choose save as and open please, geocities wont let you view it in that format).

    http://geocities.com/maso2k1/example.jpg

    It occurs randomly throughout the capture and sometimes deinterlacing will reduce the occurances but never completly removes it. I normally capture at 704x576 but dont find I get the problem as much if I capture at 352x288, though obviously the final output is not as good.

    This is the hardware I am using;

    Athlon 1.2Ghz
    Asus A7A266 Motherboard (ALi Chipset)
    512mb DDR
    WD 40gb ATA100 Hard Disk (DMA Enabled)
    Hauppage WinTV Primio PCI
    Soundblaster Live

    The hauppauge card shares and IRQ with IRQ Steering but nothing else. I am running Win98SE and XP Home, but cant capture at 704x576 in XP due to WDM drivers so cant see if problem occurs there as well.

    Thanks for any help guys (and sorry for such a long post!) :D

  3. I think I might have solved it.....

    1) Moved WinTV card to PCI Slot 1
    2) Set PCI Latency to 10
    3) Installed latest driver off www.hauppauge.co.uk
    4) Installed ALi chipset updates
    5) Started using YUY2 instead of RGB24 as RGB24 seemed to cause some kind of interference (I suspect related to PCI bus)

    This seems to be working at the moment though I would ideally like to use RGB24, something for me to keep working on. Hope this might help some people out.
