I have a DVD with 3 audio & 3 subtitle tracks & I need to extract a clip for posting to YouTube, with specific audio AND subtitle tracks.

I was advised to use VirtualDubMod, but it does not allow subtitle selection.

What should I use & how do I do this?

    Regards,

DVD Shrink in reauthor mode, then AutoGK to encode to Xvid for posting to YouTube.

Unfortunately I am having a problem.

DVD Shrink works perfectly & I can play the reauthored DVD with any audio & any subtitle.

But AutoGK does not see ANY subtitles & exports to .avi only the video & audio, but no subtitle.

Tried various DVD Shrink settings including full backup first with only 1 subtitle - but AutoGK never sees a single subtitle whatever I do.

Are you just opening the vob in autogk? You should have all the ifo, bup, vob files to be able to get the subtitles.
You can also try FairUse Wizard and convert to avi xvid with subtitles.

Why AutoGK doesn't see the subtitles I have no idea. - it is a standard VIDEO_TS with .IFO .BIP & .VOB & it sees the three audio tracks but no subtitle tracks.

However - FairUse Wizard did the job in one & a fine job too! As I have DivX Pro 6.5.1 I was able to finetune the Fairuse codec settings - very nice, what a graceful tool.

    Thank you for this,

Just succeeded with AutoGK as well - opened VTS_01_0.IFO & everything appeared - duh

Yep, you should select the ifo to get the subs in AutoGK. Forgot to mention that.
