Hi! I've been searching the forums but I haven't found a clear answer. I would like to put my lost episodes on dvd, because my brother wants to watch them and he doesn't have a dvd that support divx (mine does). Also, he wants them to have spanish subtitles (which I have in .srt and .sub).

I know I shouldn't put more than 3 episodes per disc to have decent picture quality. And I know (by reading on this forum) that I could use ffmpegx to convert each avi to dvd and then author a dvd in toast (I have Toast 7). The real question is how to author the dvd with subtitles.

If any of you could provide a step-by-step guide it would be really helpful....I haven't done any conversions in a while (since I got my powerbook and my dvd with divx capability), so my dvd authoring abilities are a little rusty.

    Help me!!!

As a start, you may want to check out the guides at the ffmpegx site, if you haven't already done so: http://www.ffmpegx.com/dvd_sub.html

If that still doesn't do it for you, post back with more specific questions.

  3. Hi Nico7425,

Have you tried converting your AVI files directly with Toast?

What do you mean using toast? As far as I know there is no way to put selectable subtitles in toast. I followed the ffmpegx guide and it worked perfectly, but only for 1 episode....how do i put several of them in one dvd???
