  1. Hi guys, can anyone help me importing the subtitles from the DVD, I'm using the following programs for ripping:
    SmartRipper
    DVD2AVI
    TMPGEnc
    VCDEasy

    if not possible doing it with these ones, pls recommend any other. :) Thanx a lot

    there is some other software to use, like virtualdub, to have your work done.

    it all depends if you want subtitles endcoded "on" the picture or if you want selectable ones.

  4. VCD subtitles must be hard-encoded.

    SVCD subtitles can be selectable but these are not well supported on many stand-alone players.

    I strongly suggest that you have a look at the guides at http://www.doom9.net as they have it all covered.

    IMHO, for VCD subtitles, FlaskMPEG is a good option...

    Virtual_dub with SVCD files, display "MPEG Import Filter : pack synchronization error" and not open SVCD files.
