I cannot use Movie Maker to edit my recorded clips from WinDVR. Whenever I try to do so, The video will play in an ActiveMovie Window and if I try to cut the clip anywhere and put what I want on the timeline, it will show up as audio only. The video will not go with it. Other times, I will get an error saying "C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\My Videos\TV\Video.mpeg could not be imported. Unspecified error"
Can anyone give me some help with this, please? I've been trying to edit my WinDVR clips for months now with no luck.
Thanks!

Windows Movie Maker and mpeg editing is very buggy. I would use something else like Videoredo if you just want basic editing and mpeg video wizard for advanced editing.
But if you prefer Movie Maker I would convert the mpeg video to dv avi with for example Virtualdub-Mpeg2. -
Thanks very much. I found the last option to be most effective. That way I can regulate the size and quality of the final product.
