Hi there,

last night i tried using VirtualDub to capture something seen on television, just to test its capabilities.

After tuning my tv-card, and launching VDub, i saw a nicely sized image of my tv input, which made me believe it at least recognized my card.

Since i'm rather newbeeish when it comes to capturing, I read some tutorials here. Everything seemed to work fine, as it allowed me to configure everything the way the tutorial told me to, but in the end, when it came to the actual capturing, it gave me a 'Error 424: No input device found' or something similar.

I tried modifying everything from source, to resolutions, to compression techniques, you name it, but nothing solved my problem. It's really kinda weird imo, since VDub showed the tv image in a much better quality and higher resolution than the default software that came with the card (PCTV Vision) during preview, but _wont_ allow capturing for some reason.

Anyone that's had this problem before? I searched this forum but nothing really seemed to be related to my problem.

I personally think it has to do with (capture) drivers, or whatever, but not entirely sure.

Thanks a lot in advance.
