I've been using Windows Movie Maker to edit MPEG-1 files that I captured and encoded in MMC 7.5. It is a very good Editor. The problem is,.. since it is made by Microsoft, who would love to convert the world to only formats they invented, it only outputs data in WFM format or really in MWwfm files.
I need some kind of converter that will take this output and put it back to MPEG-1. INside of WMM, they actually just create a script type of file that defines all of the clips and spilts that were executed on the orginal source without ever changing the orginal. This data is save as a project. So the real input MPEG-1 is still entact. The only output option of the program is to execute the script file and create a Window Media Format file on the output,... which I have been told is reall an .ASF file.
Hope someone on this forum can give me a suggestion. I've tried to find another editor, but all that I have found are terrible.
