  1. I'm using Flask with a Frameserver plugin feeding to Tmpgenc as the encoder.

Is it possible to frameserve (using Flask) from one machine to an encoder (TmpegEnc) on another machine, over a network?

  2. I hade the same question abouth frameserving and avisynt. I spok with the author and the ansver is no. I guess it's the same with Flask.

It could be a very nice future. I have a Perception PVR in a PII and I'd like to encode the Premiere timeline with CCE on other PIV PC.

I don't know how avisynth does it, but with VirtualDub you save a tiny .vdr file on your local drive to start the frameserver. The file is just a pointer to the stream that VirtualDub sends as the app that loads the file requests it!

Then, share that drive with the LAN and load up the .vdr file from another computer on the network. Works fine for me every single time

  4. I didn't try it with VirtualDub. I gonna try it today.

Sharing and mapping the drive dosn't help with avisynt, that's shure.

  5. It doesn't work.
Do you have the same OS in both PC-s?

I have NT 4 (frameserver Virtualdub) and W2k (encoder).

  6. how exactly do you do this. I'd like to frameserv. capture on a fast machine, then frameserv it to a different machine, with a smaller drive on it.

capturing in huffy can take 15-40gb and takes 2hrs 10min on a 1400mhz machine for a half hr show. Would it take much processing power to frameserv it to a different machine. btw would run 2k on both.

  7. I have 3 pc-s in a local lan network. One of them is using Wingows NT4 and has DPS Perception PVR installed. It is a PII 266.

The other one is a P4 1,6Gh with Windows 2000 proff. and has a Pinnacle DV500 pluss installed.

The 3. one is a PIII with Windows 2000.

All the PC-s has Virtualdub, avisynt installed. Frameserving works well , no problem but it doesn't work over the network.

Is any solution to frameserv over the network?
