For editing purposes is there a way to play a video file in reverse. Peferably in Premiere 6 cause that's what I use.

I am not aware of doing it in Premiere 6. You could use Avisynth (freeware) www.videotools.net . Install Avisynth DLL and create a new text document with extension .AVS. Enter the following lines and save it.

AVISource("C:\MYfile.avi")
Reverse

I am not sure whether you can import AVS files in Premiere. If not you could open the AVS file in Virtuadub and save the output as AVI
