I just downloaded the April 2007 version and am using a 30-day demo key. I added a MPG file to the project list, then dragged it into the input window. The video plays and for about 30 seconds the user interface buttons work, but then the buttons all stop working. If the video is playing is continues to play but I can't do anything else but kill it with task manager. I let it go to the end of the video once but things didn't get better. Anyone else seen this?
I contacted the Womble folks but so far they haven't been able to duplicate the problem. I'm running WinXP Pro SP2.
Tonight I used a little tool called MMVIEW to get a list of all the CODECs on my system. I disabled a few of them and tried things again. The first video played fine and the buttons continued to work, so I thought I was on to something. But the second video hung the UI again. I killed the app with Task Manager and disabled a few more CODECs. MPEG Video Wizard worked fine. I re-enabled all the CODECs expecting to have problems again but didn't - for now.
I'd really like to use this app but I'd like to understand this UI problem before I spend the money. Any suggestions are welcome.
