Hi I am trying to fit several episodes of an Anime onto a dvd by cutting intro and outro out but I stumble across quality loss. Is there any method that I can use to avoid quality loss?
Like for example if I convert the XviD file to uncompressed first then re-compress it?
* Tried using VirtualDub wouldn't work, tried with several settings, when I finally manage to get same quality output the file was bigger even though there was no intro and outro. Also some settings gave me an error.
* I tried using MediaCoder but same results as VirtualDub.
(Attached a comparison picture)
Please help me find an answer to this.

You can use the newer versions of Virtualdub 1.7.1 or 1.7.2 to exact frame edit your XviD files without recoding. To do this, click Video, Compression, XviD and click Configure. Make sure it's set to Single Pass, Target Quantizer, OK your way out.
Click Video, Smart Rendering. Set in and out markers where you want and save NewEpisode01.avi
Since there is very little recoding with this method, you will have very little loss of quality. Amost all of the clip will be Direct Stream Copied.
