  1. I am asking alot out oa video capture card but I hope I can find the right one. And one that works well.

    1) Dual tuner I want to be able to watch on my PC at the same time as recording another show.
    2) Must be able to capture video to a small resolution 240x320, Perferably able to caputre in a compressed format as well.
    3) Must be internal to the PC - PCI or PCI express (except x16 I already have a high end video card).
    4) Must also be able to take on high definiton as I may be hooking up a HD box to it as well for other projects.
    5) Must work with a wide assortment of the PC DVR type programs out there.

Basically I am turning my PC into an entire TV viewing package and I need something good quality and robust. Money isn't an issue but I know sometimes high $ does not mean quality. Also can you tell me at high quality caputre what would you get on a 500 gig hdd?

I think you may be asking for too much from most video cards, but some to look into are the Hauppauge video cards. They do have a few versions with dual tuners and they hardware capture to MPEG format. Easy to burn to DVD: http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/compare/compare_pvr.html

If you want to go the MCE route, they are a really good setup. A MCE system is similar to what you are describing. But that is also a different OS than XP.

Take a look, though. If you want to build a HTPC (Home Theater Personal Computer), it may be the easy option.
