Check the VTS folders of each disc. If they use the same names (vts_01), I don't think you can combine them, unless you changed all the names on disc 2, maybe. Otherwise, if disc 2 just starts where disc 1 left off (say vts_9), just use DVDShrink to compress them and IMGburn to burn them to disc.

You can join the main film with dvd shrink and then shrink it to one dvd, see https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=284279

Very hard - near impossible - using freeware, especially for someone as inexperienced as yourself. DVDRemake Pro can do it, but it costs money:

You have to compress it. It's too big for SL or DL. Use DVDRB for true re-encoding.

  13. Seems like a simple answer... Buy the original. Problem solved. Then again, in order to join a DVD-9 that is split on your hard drive, you already have the original, right?

After. You have a 12+ GB file now. You have to get it down to less than about 8.5 GB for a dual layer DVD, or less than 4.37 GB for a single layer DVD. If you're planning on fitting the whole thing onto a DVD5, then you may not be too pleased with the results.

It seems to me that what he has is a movie that is split across 2 DVD-9 discs that he wants to combine into one DVD-5 AND have the menu work. My suggestion would be to just shrink the 2 ripped DVDs to burn on 2 DVD-5 discs and be done with it. The process of trying to shrink and combine 2 separate DVD-9 discs is, in my opinion, more trouble than it's worth.

The quality of the main movie is on 30% ,and the menus are horrible .
you give me an idea ,i dont have subtitles to 1 disc have for 2 ,and 3 ,so i think i will do like you said.

    thanks bro.
