Hi,
I have a Philips VDP5960 HDMI DVD Player which can read PAL and NTSC. Now that
I am leaving in USA, I would like to buy an HDTV NTSC.
I have a lot of DVD I have bought in France. and they are all PAL Region 2.
As the player can read multiregion, is my new TV will display the DVD in color instead of B&W ?
Thanks for your help.

You should be able on any Philips DVD player to go into the Setup menu and set the TV output to NTSC. This will cause the player to send all video out as NTSC, whether you are playing a PAL DVD or NTSC DVD. I have the Philips DVP-642 player and that's what I have done to let me watch PAL DVDs on my NTSC HDTV. If you do this, the output will be color.
