    Hi,

I have captured video on my digital camera which has recored in avi format, i now want to make a powerpoint presentation and avi will not play in powerpoint, nor will it attach into windows movie maker?

I can change avi to DVD using convertxtodvd but that doesn't help as it just burns to dvd, i think i need to convert to mpg, i've tried Winmpg but that leaves a water mark as u have to buy, is there another way or what do i need to do to just add it to powerpoint.

    many many thanks in advance

AVI is "just" a wrapper - If your computer can play it back at all, you should be able to insert it into PowerPoint too.
Probably you're lacking the codec used in the AVI. Load it in GSpot, and post a screen shot. My guess is that it's MJPG, which seems to be popular as video codec for digital cameras. (Unless we're talking digital video cameras, where DV is the common codec.)

    Yup, the MJPG codec allright.
There ought to be such a codec shipped with your camera software. You can't play it back at all?
Tried converting it to something more "standard" format with SUPER?
