I have the standalone DVD Player Akai QX-5400 DV and I want to use it to see DivX. Some DivX play and I can see them perfectly, others I can't. Although I still hear the sound of the DivX, the TV screen stays black.
I can imagina that I would need to upgrade (if possible) the CODECs of the QX-5400. I looked everywhere for information on firmware upgrade for this machine but found nothing, including in the forums here at VideoHelp. Can anyone point me to a place where I can find possible firmware upgrades to this machine... or can it be that something else is wrong?
Sorry for the general questions, but I would be glad to have only a first queue to start going my own way without bothering anyone...
Thanks!

What you need to do is modify the files to play on your player. You cannot "upgrade" the codecs within the player.
