    Hi,

As the topic suggests, I'm trying to import a .vro file (from a sony DVD recorder) into Cinelerra. Currently, when I try to do this, the file is recognized as a mpeg file, although after a few minutes of video, the video becomes greeny, and only shows a frame from the beginning of the video clip. I've also tried to convert the file using avidemux, but the same thing occurs.

    Any suggestions are welcome.

    Thanks a lot in advance,
    Scott

  2. I've had this glitch before with WMP, but for no reason at all. It went green after a few seconds on clips it's played many times without trouble before. It resolved itself. Don't ask me why.

Have you tried changing the VRO extension to MPG? They are basically the same.

I'll try to change the extension when I get home. Although, when I imported it into Avidemux, it said it was recognized as an mpeg, and started building time maps for an mpeg file. The green screen / shot from the beginning only showed up after the first title. Could this be connected?

    Thanks,
    Scott

  4. I don't know of Avidemux, but a VRO and VOB file is basically an mpeg file so that's why it may be recognising it that way, but actually changing the extension could make a difference, I'm guessing.
