Hi, I'd like to know if a HDD-recorder (FireStore-like) is controlled by the camcorder using it, i.e. if (when there is no dv k7 in the camera), it is still possible to control the REC/PAUSE function of the HDD-recorder with the REC button of the camera.
In other (and more tech) words, are the commons camcorders able to use/control an external recorder using the AVC(-HDD) protocol? and what about some semi-pro cameras like the Canon XL1s?
thanks for the answer(s)!
