Hi all, im after a plugin or script or technique of getting that quick "shake" effect alot of bands use on their music videos. its not like a camera shake just like a quick vibration. for an example jump on youtube and look for Bullet For My Valetines clip for the song "Tears Dont Fall"..If anyone can help that would be great! by the way I am using Sony Vegas 7.0d if it helps!

It would normally be done in something like after effects or fusion, where you would link the X (for horizontal) or Y (for vertical) position to a noise generator function that moved between, for example, -5 and +5. This would shake the image randomly through this range. I don't know of anything for Vegas that mimics this.

If you know C# or VB.net then you can probably script a function that uses Track Motion to do the same thing. If you can't program, you can just do it manually by adjusting the position and setting key frames. Time consuming, but very possible.

  3. Yes that can definitely be done in After Effects.

But if all you have is Vegas then you can just as easily create your own random keyframes for the position value. It's not as quick, but it will work just as good....
