    Hello,

I have some videos I've captured in iMovie HD (5.0.2) and I'm trying to export them as mpeg-4 to use with AppleTV. The thing is, I need them to have chapters. I've put in chapter markers both using the chapters used for exporting to iDVD, and using the "bookmark" feature, but when I export the video they never show up.

    I've been doing:
Share > QuickTime > Expert Settings > Export: Movie to MPEG-4/Use: Default Settings > Options > File Format: MP4 / Video Format: H.264

For what it's worth, I can't upgrade the software on the machine (it's a lab computer) but I do also have Final Cut Pro HD.

Any help would be fantastic. Thanks!

It will work in Compressor, if thats also installed with your FCP HD. Right-click on your iMovie project and Show Contents. Navigate to the iDVD folder containing your project's reference movie. Open that up in Compressor and choose settings, then encode. Your output will have chapters that are accurate in QuickTime -- not so much so on an iPod -- and I dont know how they act (yet) in Apple TV.
