    I've had my new computer for a few months now and the dvd writer has suddenly changed maximum speeds. I mean I used to be burning at 16x and now I can only burn at 4x maximum. Does anybody know what caused this and how to fix it?

    Check to see if DMA mode is enabled on your dvd burner.
    Read the link below on enabling DMA mode.
