  1. I have some videos in WMV format that are around 30MB each in size. I want to email them to a friend. There is a 10MB size limit for email attachments. Rather than have him deal with some file-splitting program (he is not too pc savy), I'd rather just re-encode the videos so they are 10MB or less in size. In this case, file size is a higher priority than video quality.

    How can I take a WMV video and re-encode it to a smaller size WMV file?

    Upload each file to www.savefile.com - 60Mb limit, free, and 30 days to download it before it's removed. Once uploaded, you get a unique URL linking to the file - email them to your mate and he can download at his leisure.

    There are loads of other similar sites.
