I know we can do it with virtualdub, but when joining parts again there's always a remarquable picture "jump" on the joined points.-

Is there any other way to do it ??

you can overlap sections of a cut - which is a common edit technique (though the "fast cut" is more common right now) .. you can do this with any NLE software or with avisynth ..

I've never had that problem. Maybe you're not doing it right?

Yes maybe I'm not doing right.

I selected the beginning and the end of the part I want to cut.
Next segment I select the beginning exactely at the same point where the first one ends.!!!

Is this a wrong way to do it ??

  5. Be sure that the cut point is a key frame. Say for example frame 10,000 is in the middle of the file and is a keyframe. Mark-in at 0, mark-out at 10,000. Save that section (note that frame 10,000 is not included in this file). Then Mark-in at 10,000 and mark-out at the end of the file. Save as AVI. The two resulting files will join perfectly. Always works for me.
