  1. Hi,

I have a bunch of DVDs created using a DVD recorder where the input was from a VCR.
The VCR I have is very good (Panasonic AG-1970 and I also have an AG-1980), but it seems like you'll always get bottom scan line jitter when converting VHS tapes to DVD.

How do you deal with that? I'd like to either crop it or simply replace it with the last scan line which doesn't jitter. And, of course, I'd like to do this efficiently without having to re-encode the video it at all possible. That said, I am willing to consider any solution which is scriptable, since then I can let jobs run overnight as I have about 20 disks to author.

    Thanks!

You have to mask it (not crop), cover it over with black, and re-encode. There is no other way.

You'll only see this on a computer, not a tv set.
