How do i get the monitor to keep its settings when using TV-out

Every time I use the "Play on my" feature that comes with my 3d Fuzion (Nvidia Geforce 4000 MX), my PC monitor changes to a smaller resolution and the refresh rate goes down to 60 Hz. Is there a way to keep my monitor settings when using TV out?


Monitor: Compaq S710
Video Card: Nvidia Geforce 4000 MX (with latest drivers)
PC stats: Asus P4P800S 2.6 gHz PIV CPU, 512 MB RAM, 80 GB Maxtor, 120 GB WD SATA, 13 GB WD.

In 'Control Panel>Display>Settings' does it show two monitors? You should be able to set your TV or secondary monitor to one setting and your primary or computer monitor to a different one. Your TV and computer monitor may need to be both hooked up and running when you do this. Otherwise, you may just see one monitor.
