Do any of the better standalone players (such as Oppo) do this, or do a notably better job of it than most ? Including unfinalized -RWs, which might be in either VR or Video Mode ?
In particular, I'm talking about the disks you'd normally have to play back in the same DVR that recorded them.

Most players won't play unfinalized discs, especially in VR mode, at least none that I have used. I've read that some recorders have issues with discs they have created if they aren't finalized. Some standalones often also have issues with multisession discs.
