Ok. Is this with Vista? Can you "right click"->Run as administrator on the SVCD2DVD.exe to complete the registration process?

    Hi Chrissyboy,
Running vista ultimate, had same issue registering. Right clicked svcd2dvd.exe and it ran and registered OK.

Ran into this issue, could not add two assests to the same VTS , would not build it into the menu. Forced me to make 2 vts,s. Other than that seems to working OK.

Noticed that there is no option now to burn with Nero, only img and copytodvd, will that be the case from now on ? Did use IMG and worked flawlessy, however could not figure out how to turn off the verify option in IMG even in the IMG option settings.
    Quote Quote
  6. If you want separate menu buttons for the assets, you have to put them in separate VTS's, it's always been that way.

I believe that Chrissyboy does intend the new burning options to continue as they are now (no Nero). IMGBurn is a much better option anyway. Ah...I found it here:

  7. Can't find the 'off' switch for the Verify function?

Did you try looking on the first screen that comes up when you load ImgBurn?

There's a tickbox just under where you select the destination drive - and a 'Test Mode' one next to it.

Thanks for the input guys. I should have been more specific on the IMG thing. The first run of Svcd2dvd with autoburn it did try to verify. I stopped it and it complained . Then ran IMG and did untick the verify button, but on the next dvd I made with svc2dvd it still wanted to verify. Thats when I thought the verify mode option was broke Made another test DVD to today and now all is well verify did not run. Go figure; guess IMG just needed to get reset or something .

  13. Are you running the program as administrator? Did you install in a folder other than "Program Files"? Both of these are recommended on Vista.

Also - it looks like your .Net installation is corrupt. Can you reinstall .net 2?

I installed both my 2.0 and 2.5 in program files, also I re-installed .Net 1.1 few times, I can't seem to re-install Net 2.0, says its already installed and I can't find a uninstall for Net 2.0, maybe its a vista thing.

I got 2.5 to finally work, I went to the options and kept hitting continue on the error screen when I changed one of the options and now its working.. very odd, I'm sure its not 100%

  17. It is recommended that you NOT install SVCD2DVD to the "program files" directory.

Check Microsoft Knowledgebase for info on reinstalling .Net 2.0.

    Hi

I am trying out the 2.5 Beta and it seems to process properly and quickly however I do have one problem.

    System Details
    Core 2 Duo 6600
    2Gb RAM
    Nvidia Geforce 7950GT
    Vista Home Premium

I have installed the software under c:\software not in program files as suggested and I run it as administrator

When I try to save the settings it always closes down svcd2dvd. Has anyone got any suggestions?

I can reproduce the problem every time by changing the initial DVD output folder and then pressing apply setting to this project only. No error messages just the Microsoft windows popup box that says SVCD2DVD has stopped working

a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and .....

  23. Just FYI: I cannot reproduce this error in XP.

What is the folder path you are attempting to change to (just wondering if it may be a character issue)?
