    Whenever I use recode to back somethign up, I always set the Custom Ratio to 4400. However recode always burns to the full disc. Is there a way to get this to stop? Am I doing something wrong or is there something I need to do instead? Any help would be appreciated.

    Are you using "Advanced Analysis"?

    Using Recode v2.4.5.0 with "Advanced Analysis" & "High quality mode",
    mine usually come out just a little smaller than "target".

    On other forums they always seem to advocate a smaller target size. With the Verb 16X and TY 8X's I use I've never had a problem with full discs. Seems the only time a smaller target size is needed is with crap discs.
