    Hi, How do i know what type of files is compatible to play in a standalone divx player? I know avi and mpeg can but they must meet a certain specs rite?

    Yep, and they all differ. Your manual will tell you some of the specs, but probably not all. If you want to be sure, buy some DVD-RWs so you can test before committing them to disc for good. If they fail, use AVIRecomp to re-encode to lowest common denominator compatibility.
