I am looking to get one of these camcorders. So far its looking like the Canon GL2 is a far more superior camera to the Sony VX2100; however, the vx2100 is offering stuff like wireless microphones and many other accessories. Now i'm new to this and my ignorance is based on the fact that i'm tryin to stick with the brand so i'm looking for accessories that are of the same brand.
So my questions are:
Which camera is better?
If the canon GL2, can i get generic accessories for the camera or is it very specific? If so, where is a good place to check?
Thanks in advance

They are both very good. It comes down personal taste. I'd say the VX-2100 and its audio enhanced pro version the PD-170 have a wider following in semi-pro and pro circles. The siblings are known for good low light performance and the luminance knee.
There are numerous detailed reviews and also comparison reviews for Sony vs. Canon.
