I have been doing backups on and off for a few years now. Until recently DVD X Copy seemed to work very well for me and still does for most backups. I now have the updated version which is called DVD NeXt Copy which I am wondering if it is that useful.
I havent done that many backups lately, but am trying to get back into it again. There is a lot of new softwate and procedures. DVD X Copy and DVD NeXt Copy (DNC) do not seem to work with all backups. As an example the one that I am trying to do right now......Pursuit of Happiness. I have searched forums and tried to come up with the best way to backup on this. There is so much software and so many ways of doing it that it is overwhelming.

After doing much reading I figured out that Ripit4me used in conjunction with (DNC) might be the best route to go. I ran the program and put the ripped copy of the backup on my C drive.
I then tried to run DNC first using a +R DL disc and it would not recognize the medium. Then tried a regular +R disc and could not get it to burn. My main question here is what is the best procedure and software to use? Do I even need DNC if it does not even do the backup without using 3rd party plugins for ripping? If not what would be the easiest software program to use for burning? DVD X Copy is still great for most backups but with so many changes going on I would like to find something that I can use on a regular basis without having a new learning curve everytime I try to do a backup. Also I have never done DL before but would like to start.

Any information on this would be appreciated.

Yes I have been reading about ImgBurn. So I really do not need to get burn software to do these backups such as Nero or DVD NeXt Copy etc? Anyway I will try it wil ImgBurn and see how it works.
    Thanks

Absolutely not, specially when the very best for burning (ImgBurn) is available for free.
