I've hit a real puzzler. I downloaded an ISO of a DVD. Finder reports that it has a volume of 4.31 GB. It opens and mounts. But if I look inside the VIDEO and AUDIO folders, there are no files, even if I use the Show Hide Invisible Files application.

But here's the kicker... If I launch DVD Player, and point it to the VIDEO folder, it first complains that the media type is not supported, but then it plays the programming! The Show Hide app says there's nothing there, so where is DVD Player finding the show files? I want to demux this show. Where are those files?

Not much use when YadeX (the app I assume you meant) doesn't even see the VOB data to begin with. Any other suggestions?

MagicISO has a non standard iso structure. If you converted one by force the resulting disc may not be fully readable. MagicISO isn't free and it isn't well thought of by torrent downloaders because that means something else to buy.

It's from the MST3K Digital Archive Project, mst3k.dapcentral.org, the DVD files for "Warrior of the Lost World". I've had no problems with their other DVDs, but I've downloaded this one a second time, just in case I had a corrupt download. But the second try has the same problem.

Sounds like a corrupt file. If you can copy it to a dvd, Isobuster on a pc can usually read even corrupt mpeg file and extract them. Once you have the extracted mpg you can do what you want with it.

If you want to, pm me. I live in Fort Ld. If you send me a copy I can work on cracking it. I have VPC on my eMac, with TMPGEnc and Isobuster.

I haven't seen the movie, but it sounds so awful it's good.

Sorry, there's no URL link to the file(s). You need to register with the DAP, and use eDonkey to download them. I know that's a compound pain, but that's the way they choose to distribute things there. I've successfully downloaded dozens of shows from the place, and this is the first one that exhibits this odd characteristic.

I've been able to see the files if I point Terminal to it, but every time I try to copy them, I get an "input/output error". Very odd.
