    Trying to convert HD-DVD so I can stream on my Media Player.

    I've been following a thread on Doom9 which poster managed to get the above working.

    Process is
    1) Backup HD-DVD to disk (done)
    2) Demux files to separate video and audio files
    3) Graphedit filters
    4) Directshowsource -> Audiodub
    5) Windows Media Encoder

    The problem is the Backup video (VC-1) file (post Demux) is about 22GB. I can add the filters in GraphEdit but when I add the EVo file, GraphEdit hangs.

    Is there a size limitation in GraphEdit?

    Just curious - where's that thread on Doom9? I took a quick look in Decyrption and couldn't find it offhand. Some of their threads on HD-DVD are massively big, which makes it hard to find anything.

    Here it is...It's not under decryption but under "Newbies"
    http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=123010

    I've gone through the process and the WMV HD file is 10GB and still growing. I may try to change the filter to DivX HD. I have some DivX HD files and they are about 2.2GBs. I was hoping that the converted WMV/HD file would be smaller.

    Still in process so maybe there was an error in the script.

    Thanks! Never thought this kind of subject would be in the Newbies forum as it's kind of advanced.

    I found it via googling...it is not a pretty sight. I'm hoping that in the next few months an Imgburn of some kind is created...

    I want to stream my media but I think this might be a bad idea unless I can find a format that is smaller...onto DivX HD...
