  1. I can't get any streaming audio to play on my computer and it used to play fine. I even used WMRecorder to download a file on another computer and the problem computer still couldn't play it off of the hard drive. Also, I can't play the audio with most Xvid files on Windows Media Player or RealPlayer. The video plays fine. I checked and I have the codecs. Anyone have any ideas?

Although you may have all of the codecs, most likely some have become corrupt or not properly registered. It is usually best to uninstall any codecs/codec packs using add/remove programs. Then reinstall the codecs as needed. To start with, I would uninstall them, reinstall the latest divx codec, and then try your xvid file.

  3. Thanks for the reply! I already did reinstall the codecs. No change. I did just notice that Divx Player plays the Xvid files perfectly. (Would that be possible if it was a codec problem?) Also, I'm able to play streaming audio in IE if I have AOL open.
