I have some video clips i want to Burn to a DVD to play on my DVD player but i am having all kinds of problems. I currently have Nero OEM 6.6.1.15 at least thats what it says on the software, but i don't have nero vison or burning rom, i don't understand that only Nero Express. I converted most the wmv files to mpeg and to vob files. I tried burning three separate clips onto a DVD-RW but they won't play. I have messed up so many DVD-R's i am scared to try another one till i am sure what i am doing. Can some body help and why is it so hard to put these three clips onto a DVD so i can watch them on my DVD player? Thanks for all who help.

Give DVD Flick a try. I found and used it today for an mpg music file.
Worked lie a charm accept if you do more than one file I havent figured out how to separate them on the dvd to play selectively.

Take one of your converted MPEGs and drop it into Gspot. Then compare that to the DVD specs and format in 'WHAT IS' DVD to the upper right on this page. If you have a compliant DVD MPEG video, then you just need to author and burn it to disc.

You haven't missed much by not using Nero for conversions. It's not a very good encoder or authoring program.

DVDFlick works fairly well, but for a few dollars, ConvertXToDVD is one of the best 'one-click' converters, and well worth the cost. I would recommend using ImgBurn to burn the DVD also.

To make a good DVD, you have to get the encoding right, then the authoring, and finally the burning. Your DVD media needs to be decent quality and your burner needs to work properly with your media.

If you just need a authoring program, try GUI for dvdauthor or DVD Authorgui, both freeware.

    And welcome to our forums.
