Well the restore did fix it.

It mustve been a software problem.

Also since ive added a second hard drive to the pc, it sometimes freezes up at start up.

So i had no choice but to restore.

And also some of my restore files couldnt be restored, i got errors during restoration, so i will be ordering restore CDs soon.

    thanks for your help

    What is peerguardian?

  6. PeerGuardian would be a site-blocking software, as was referenced in the very first reply to this three-page thread.

Have you ran Virus and spyware sweeps. Could be something hijacking your connection. Close your browser and open taskmanager under processe's and and look for IEXPLORE.exe or firefox.exe running in the background there are a few trojans out there that hijack your default browser and run in the back ground even if it's not open. Ran into this a couple of times on my nephews machine. It causes problems like you describe. Ran nod32 in safe mode and removed the trojan.

I'll check for this but there is a definite difference in speed on this site for me even when other sites run quickly.
Does it load rapidly for you?
    I am using firefox.
That is a problem with some sites.
